Story
behind the song: "Snowblind" has always been one of
our favorite tunes to do live. "Snowblind"
has also been covered by System of a Down and Sleep. For quite a long time, there was a "bit of
the white line fever going down" (as Bruce
Dickinson would say) in the Black Sabbath camp. Glenn
Hughes got kicked out of Sabbath five dates into the
"No Stranger to Love" tour for doing too much
coke. This was in 1987. By the way, those "A
National Acrobat" lyrics are fucking hard to
remember. |
| This
is our ode to the middle-Ozzy albums. It contains a
nasty vocal mistake! |

Story
behind the song: We really love doing this
one. It is so damn HUGE! Bonus for musicians - No
transcription of this song or any other song from the
Heaven and Hell album that we have seen has indicated
that the songs are tuned half a step down. I guess
kids that are just starting out with undeveloped ears
are just shit out of luck. We don't play it in that
tuning, anyway.
|
| If
you don't know about the days when Ronnie James Dio sung
for Sabbath, you are missing out, brother. Heaven &
Hell is an excellent example from 1980. |

Story
behind the song: Satan comes to claim souls in
this demonic tune. This was the FIRST HEAVY METAL
SONG EVER!
It is also one of those songs that has a
mysterious lost third verse.
|
| You
gotta know this one. It is the first song that Black
Sabbath ever wrote, hence the name. We make it a little
bit noiser. DOOM |

Story
behind the song: Sabbath, Bloody, Sabbath is about
what happens to souls in Hell and Hole in the Sky is
about drugs. Metal rules.
|
| This
is our slam-together of Sabbath, Bloody, Sabbath and
Hole in the Sky. Both are extremely in your face AND
totally rad to the max! |

Story
behind the song: "Never Say Die" has also
been covered by OverKill and Megadeth.
|
| The
last album that Ozzy did with Black Sabbath was also the
most diverse. "Never Say Die" stands as Ozzy's
farewell to Sabbath. Meanwhile, Gordon's vocals max out
the PA on our version, making him sound like he sucks. |

 |
Story
behind the song: Many soldiers returned to the
States from Vietnam addicted to heroin. Sabbath knew
that the world was fucked and that's why they didn't
write about "Puppies, red and rosy". Iommi
wasn't destined to be in Jethro Tull, that's for sure.

Story
behind the song: Iommi sez: "People ask me,
'Even after all these years, do you get tired of playing
Paranoid?' I tell them 'No, I don't!'"
